Researching technical information is only part of the information gathering process. Trial and error plays a huge part in providing practical information that is useful in most survival situations. I depend a great deal on the expertise of my partner, Chris Daniels. Chris grew up on the farm, in the woods and on the water. For over 40 years he has managed to keep kicking by having a deep understanding of nature and what she can provide. Chris hiked approximately 200 kilometers (the First People didn’t even live in the area we explored) in dense hostile British Columbian country with me. Chris is the only person I know whom I was totally confident in joining me on that adventure. Bears (Grizzly and Black), Mountain Lions and Wolves. Not to mention sheer cliffs, rocky footing, acres of dense blow down, hordes of blood sucking insects, confusing terrain and razor-sharp Alaskan Ginseng. Chris provides valuable first hand experience and knowledge. I am lucky to have him as “Partner in Crime” at Natures Access.
